the prologue

I’m currently writing this blog post at 1:23 AM while battling tiredness and an agitating throat that probably spells waking up sick.

Hi, my name’s Justin, and I’m a filmmaker currently based in Orlando, FL, but looking to move elsewhere soon. I’m a screenwriter, director, editor, and sound mixer with a love for cinema, particularly horror and thriller films. This blog post, which I’ll dub the “Prologue”, is to mark the dawn of my new website, which will be undergoing construction throughout the week.

My goal for this blog is to write my thoughts down somewhere to get them out of my head, document what I’m working on to create discipline for keeping up with my projects, and to keep any new community members in the loop, whether they are my close friends or random internet strangers. My goal is to publish at least two blog posts a week, three if I’m feeling dangerous. The creation of this brand new website for myself is also the beginning of me really trying to make sure my film career is as well-documented and professional-looking as possible, and a very-late New Year’s resolution as well.

Blog posts will range from general updates such as this to updates on my current projects, two of which are my latest short film, Stoke, and my TV pilot, Parasocial.

Here’s to the start of a new journey, and hopefully a good night’s sleep.
